Beach and Bush Family package 12 days – Fully Guided
Day 1 – DURBAN
Arrive Durban King Shaka International airport. Pick up your hire car. Drive +/- 30 mins to your accommodation to rest and relax after your flight.

Day 2 – HLUHLUWE
After breakfast we head up the coast to Albizia Camp in Hluhluwe (+/- 3 hours drive) for a 4-night stay in ensuite safari tents.
Albizia Camp is a quiet haven in the game rich Hluhluwe area, surrounded by wildlife reserves.
Activities: Guided walk. approximately 3-hour nature walk through a small game reserve. A guide will point out tracks and other signs of the wild, which will bring the marvellous delicate balance of eco-system to life.
On the walk you may encounter wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, nyala, red duiker, grey duiker and warthogs.

Day 3 – Hluhluwe–Umfolozi Game Reserve Safari
Spend a full day in the reserve on a game drive. Spot many of Africa’s iconic species (species in the park include Elephant, rhino, giraffe, buffalo, zebra, lion, wild dogs – and many more) and put your recently acquired ‘bush’ knowledge to practice following tracks and signs.
This park is a conservation success story, world renowned for its rhino conservation and pioneering game-capture techniques.
Day 4 – St Lucia day trip – iSimangaliso Wetland Park
The coastal town of St Lucia is an 80-minute drive away and the departure point for a 2 hour boat trip through the St Lucia Estuary, looking out for hippo and crocodile in the estuarine system. UNESCO world heritage site status was granted because of the unique interlinking lake systems and diverse ecology. After the boat trip there will be time for lunch and a short explore before returning to your safari tents.
Day 5 – Hluhluwe
Anton is passionate about snakes, and today you’ll get a chance to see and learn about these fascinating creatures.
Day 6 – Elephant – Eswatini
The elephant is a fascinating animal and today you will have an up close experience with these gentle giants getting to grips with conservation strategies that help protect them and their eco-systems. +/- 45-minute drive
Thereafter we’ll head north (approx. 2 hours drive) to Hlane National Park in The Kingdom of Eswatini.

Day 7 – Hlane
Early this morning enjoy a sunrise game drive before breakfast. Relax and enjoy viewing the animals at the waterhole during the day.
This afternoon you’ll have another game drive, this time focusing on rhinos.

Day 8 – Kosi Bay
A travel day today. From Eswatini to Kosi Bay (+/- 5 hours) for a 3-night stay at a rustic bush lodge.

Day 9 – Kosi Bay mouth
A day trip to the bay (+/- 30-minute drive). See the traditional and sustainable Thonga fish traps in action and spend some time snorkeling and swimming in the clear waters of Kosi Bay. Lunch included. This is a beautiful part of the world and a fabulous adventure day for the family.
Day 10 –Lakes boat trip
Spend some hours out on this beautiful lake system on a small motorised boat with a local skipper and guide.
This boat cruise offers a peaceful escape into the heart of this pristine ecosystem. As you glide through the winding channels, bordered by lush mangroves you’ll enjoy the stunning scenery and have the chance to see hippos and lots of bird life.
Day 11 – Hluhluwe
Drive back to Albizia Camp after breakfast. Should you desire another safari fix, a trip to Tembe Elephant Park could be a good option on the way (subject to availability).
A guided walk in in the afternoon or optional activities.

Day 12
After breakfast you will be transferred to Durban for your outbound flight or on to your next destination.

Facilities: This accommodation is rustic and the camp is run with gas and solar power. There is a wifi hotspot available at the bar. We recommend charging all batteries before you enter Eswatini and take a battery bank if you have one.
Kosi Bay Lodge

Facilities: Restaurant, pool, bar, swimming pool, wifi hotspot
