Umkhumbi Lodge offers a range of accommodation for you, from self-catering, to full board, for families or couples, and we also take group bookings. Our accommodation is in the form of private chalets nestled in the sand-forest. A pathway leads through the trees to the central dining and recreation area where we have a restaurant and bar. Chalets are on a self-catering or non self-catering basis. Non-self catering guests may choose meal packages. Self-catering guests are welcome to book meals at our dining area and to enjoy the bar facilities. We are 30 minutes’ drive from Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve for Big 5 safaris.

Accommodation information

We have 6 chalets in the sand-forest. All rooms are air-conditioned and spacious with en-suite bathrooms, bath and separate shower. Relax on your veranda and enjoy the wildlife and birdlife in the forest.  Help yourself to the complimentary tea and coffee facilities and there’s a fridge for you to store food and drink.

The rooms are all private and quiet, but some are closer to the central area than others. Please ask if you would like a unit close by (if you have small children for example) or further away.
